I want it
The show last night at the Landing was a lot of fun. Mikey Manker hosted for myself, Andy Faasen, Joe Hartenstein and Gabe Kea. My set was a little weird, but a lot of fun. I forgot to start my stop-watch so I didn't know how much time I was doing (I ended up doing about 17 minutes) and I never looked at my setlist. Yay! I kind of lost the crowd a couple of times with some of my fat jokes. I think some people just don't appreciate them. Call me stubborn, but I don't want to give them up. Then again, comedy is important to me so I may be spending some time changing them or replacing them. Who knows... I had planned on writing a bunch today, but I ended up grocery shopping and doing chores/errands. Boooring. Anyway, the cycle starts over tomorrow with the Bistro, Bone, Forum and Laughs and Saturday Woody's Urban Extravaganza. It's supposed to start around 7:30 and I should be on at 7:45 or so. 5 minutes on stage and I'll probably be the only white guy in the building. That's how it was last year. As my brother says; "You gotta want it".
